9. Global supply chain management

Global Supply Chain Management course introduces the relevant concepts on global integrated supply chains, their optimal modes of operations, problems and solutions in handling the diversity of possible designs and strategies constrained by the available resources and capacities. The term “integrated process” is emphasized in this course as opposed to silo approach. As such, every issue in each area is being discussed and analyzed in the context of integrated flows of goods and services from suppliers to customers and the continuous flows of information (principally) from the customers to the suppliers.

The student will gain relevant competencies in identifying problems and solutions from various points of view in different problem domains, such as management of integrated resources in global supply chains, making use of suitable models to problem domains, recognizing specific constraints and problem-solutions, and comprehensive use of ICT and modern web-based applications.
