Curriculum
The
Global Distance MBA curriculum consists of eleven stimulating,
interdisciplinary courses.
The degree program as a whole
offers:
-
knowledge of internationalization trends and how they affect
companies and administrations
-
tools for directing projects, supervising teams, managing change
(financial management, project management, leadership, management of
change)
-
analytical skills (data analysis, comparative
analysis)
-
improved multicultural communication and negotiation skills
Courses
The first six courses each focus on a
specific aspect of the management profession. These courses form the
core program and are mandatory for all students. The remaining
five courses are electives, giving you a thorough specialization in either
Business Administration or Public Administration. Although
it is advisable to take the five courses that make up one entire specialization
program, students are allowed to mix courses from both specializations.
The
core program on general management offers:

a thorough
understanding of the economic, financial and legal foundations of public
and private organizations within an international framework

the
ability to manage organizations within the conflicting perspectives
of globalization versus national and cultural identification

the
ability to balance stakeholder value, efficacy, diversity and
societal responsibility in structuring and changing organizations

ability to implement strategy and policy, balancing control and
trust with awareness of impact and risk.
The
Business Administration program
offers:

knowledge of financial management within global capital markets

analytical tools to help define markets at a global level and to relate
the business policy and strategy to market challenges

the
ability to organize business processes according to the external and
internal supply chains
-
entrepreneurship as a mindset to balance continuity, innovation and
market dynamics.
